We have a new mall here in the Reno area, The Legends at Sparks Marina – it opened a few weekends ago and Val and I have not been out there, so we thought that we would check it out. They have quite a few new stores so that is exciting.
My initial writing goal of 200 pages by Sunday (today) is pretty unreasonable at this point I may have set the bar a little high. Last night I cranked out 500 words and hit 50,000 total words. I am up to page 170. That is not as great as I would have imagined but at least I am writing.
I am amending my goal. It is simply this: Today I will write.
Now that I can do regardless of whatever else I am doing. Sometimes I get all hyped up and lose my focus. The most important thing is that write, every single day, period. It doesnt matter how much and I have found that when I set a page quota or goal I usually have trouble hitting it whereas if I just sit down with the intention of doing as much as I can do…as much as flows out of me it usually ends up meeting or exceeding any goal I would have set. Funny how the mind works eh?
I am tired today but I feel good, I feel positive and satisfied with my progress. I will get there but I can’t beat myself up or try to force it that is the quickest way to failure.
So until next time – “don’t worry, be happy!”
Kody, read this and some of your other blogs.
Keep up the good work – I like your writing and your attitudes!
